The Flower Hunter, creating a floral love story, inspired by the landscape
The landscape and nature have provided inspiration for artists and creatives for a millennia. But in our effort to fulfil societies expectations for a busy and productive life how often do we take the time to just ‘stop and wonder’ for a while and let the natural world, in all her extraordinary guises inspire and refuel our creativity?
The landscape and the gardens we create within them have been my creative muse for as long as I can remember. I invite you to journey with me to some of the places and spaces that inspire and inform my work as a creative floral artist and garden designer in the studio.
From the romance of the countryside, the ever changing light of the coast, drama of the mountains and the interwoven lives we have cultivated with nature in our urban places.
This is about those hidden stories in the landscape, how we connect to them daily. It is how we can all take inspiration from nature and the landscape and how to scale it down to fill our homes and lives.
I encourage you to pause and look, to observe the fine detail and fill our minds and soul with the greatest possibilities for filling our world with floral arrangements, creativity and beauty. There are projects for you to try at home, lavish photography and gentle musings throughout.
